Module 6: “The Intergenerational Approach in Teaching and Learning”

Intergenerational Learning is a way that people of all ages can learn together and from each other.

It is an important part of Lifelong Learning, where the generations work together to gain skills, values and knowledge, based on reciprocity and mutuality.

The Learning Unit “The Intergenerational Approach in Teaching and Learning” is  aimed to identify the principles of adult learning theories and to define the pedagogical approaches and materials for the realization of training tools for adults learners.

As  the Learning Unit is aimed to facilitate the creation of intergenerational groups and promote a specific reaching and learning approach, the module is addressed to adults educators.

The Module will be firstly focused on Adult Education Theories and Principles and Differences among intergenerational groups; then it will show some tips and practical activities for the creation of group in the intergenerational learning environment. A final Glossary will guide the adult educators on some topics and learning modality.

At the end of the unit, the adults educators will be provided with tips for preparing learning activities and can self-assess their knowledge through a quiz.
