Affinity Spaces – Italy
During the project activities, two full days of Affinity Spaces were held under the patronage of the Municipality of Potenza. Eight adults and eight young people took part in the activities, which focused on a common element of cultural heritage: the “Storica Parata dei Turchi”. The “Historical Parade of the Turks” takes place every year on 29 May on the occasion of the feast of the patron saint of the city of Potenza.
The Turkish Parade evokes the legend that the patron saint of the city of Potenza, Saint Gerard, prevented the invasion of the city by the Turks. The participants shot videos with their mobile phones on the theme of remembrance and the most significant experience of the Turkish Parade.
