Synthesis organised the Affinity Space for Flourish initiative in Nicosia’s centre on May 13, 2023. The event took place simultaneously with other multipliers and included 9 younger people and 7 seniors. Thus, our Affinity Space was highly visible.
Cyprus folklore and legends were the first element of the activity. The elders told the younger members stories from their parents and grandparents, taking centre stage.

The second segment covered Cyprus-style cuisine. We prepared “Kupeppia,” or “Dolma.” This popular Middle Eastern dish is made with ground pork, rice, and wine leaves. Koupepia recipes are passed down from generation to generation, therefore the more experienced members took over this portion.
