LLTA: The Partnership in Vienna
A 5-day interactive training workshop for the Flourish Centers Project was recently held in Vienna, Austria, where the local partner, AIS, welcomed partners from Italy, France, Cyprus and Greece, and a first target group of adult educators and migrant support workers.
During the learning activity, participants had the chance to take part in an organized workshop in collaboration with Vienna’s Vollpension, granting an opportunity to share values and ideas during a series of activities involving both the association’s founders and one of the senior members of Vollpension: the activities, that spanned from cake baking (and tasting) of typical pastries to the discussion of topics regarding the dissemination and management of cultural heritage, was meant to allow all the participants to test and improve both their relational skills and digital competence.
The workshops held during the 5 days in Vienna also allowed the partner associations to address and discuss together with the selected target group a series of other fundamental topics for the Flourish Project, including primary issues regarding community participation in the care and administration of both tangible and intangible cultural heritage artefacts and the employment of videomaking as an innovative way of intergenerational communication to preserve and enhance such items and their social, historical and cultural value.
At the end of the learning activity, a final piloting activity involving 3 seniors and 3 young people was held, to test the workshop and video guidelines and evaluate the improved guidelines.
